The Science in the City project is made possible because of support from many different sponsors and partners who join Executive Partners the Australian Museum and the University of Sydney to deliver Science in the City, Science in the Suburbs and Science in the Bush events across NSW each year.

EXECUTIVE PARTNER

The Australian Museum

The Australian Museum has been the driving force behind the Science in the City Project since its inception in 2001. The Science Communication Unit administers the Science in the City Project and aims to ensure that students across NSW are able to access vibrant science education outside of the classroom.


The University of Sydney

As the Executive Partner with the Australian Museum in the Science in the City Project, The University of Sydney has played an integral role in its development from one event at the Australian Museum to a diverse program of events reaching over 10000 NSW school students. The University of Sydney Faculty of Science remains the largest contributor of event content throughout the Science in the City Project events.


OUTREACH PARTNER

Charles Sturt University

Charles Sturt University joined the Executive as Outreach Partner in 2009. In this role CSU supports the mandate of the Science in the City projects' 'outreach' events Science in the Suburbs and Science in the Bush. As Australia's first inland university, CSU is also a host partner for many Science in the Bush events.


HOST PARTNER

Australian National Field Days

The Australian National Field Days hosts Science in the Bush at Orange as a part of the ANFD event.


Jenolan Caves

Jenolan Caves hosts Science in the Bush at Jenolan Caves providing local Stage 5 students with a unique opportunity to undertake examinations of the geology of the site with its experts.


Mount Tomah

The Royal Botanic Gradens at Mount Tomah host Science in the Bush at Mount Tomah each year.


NSW Department of Primary Industries

The New South Wales Department of Primary Industries support Science in the Suburbs and Science in the Bush events in the capacity of host, presenter and exhibitor.


Newcastle City Council

Newcastle City Council will host Science in the City Newcastle at the Newcastle Town Hall. This two day event will provide hands-on workshops, science shows, talks and the Science in the City Newcastle Expo for High School and Primary School students in Newcastle and the Hunter Region.


National Marine Science Centre

The National Marine Science Centre hosts Science in the Bush at Coffs Harbour each year in November.
